Publication date: 18-07-2025

Eramet is a French mining and metallurgy group operating in over 16 countries, with core assets in Gabon, New Caledonia, Indonesia, Senegal, and Argentina. The group is the global leader in high-grade manganese ore production and a top producer of ferronickel. In 2024, Eramet’s adjusted EBITDA was primarily driven by manganese (~59%), followed by nickel (~28%) and mineral sands (~13%).

In 2025, Eramet began ramping up its lithium project in Argentina (Centenario), with full production capacity expected by year-end. This project is among the most cost-efficient lithium operations globally. From 2026, it is expected to generate a significant new cash flow stream, with Fitch estimating EBITDA contribution rising from €60 million in 2025 to €190 million by 2027.

The company reported a gross debt/EBITDA ratio of approximately 3,8x in 2024 and net leverage of 2,6x. Management targets a net debt/EBITDA below 1,0x on average through the commodity cycle.

The 6,5% EUR bond offers a notable yield and high coupon, trading at levels typically seen for B-rated competitors. The bond is available for purchase through Interactive Brokers and Saxobank, typically at minimum denominations of 100.000 EUR. However, investors using Trade Republic can access it in much smaller amounts — from as low as 1 EUR.
